At some stage in your trading journey, you’ll want to withdraw money from your eToro account. Thankfully, it is easy to withdraw money from eToro, so I’m going to cover the process and any questions you might have.

How do I withdraw funds from my eToro account?

Is it easy to withdraw money from eToro? Yes and no.

To get your money, you’ll need to make a withdrawal request. Log in to your eToro and bring up any page (it doesn’t matter what page you’re on.) Now follow these steps to withdraw your funds from eToro

1. Click on the Withdraw Funds tab in the left-hand menu
2. Enter the amount to withdraw (by default, this is in USD, so keep that in mind)
3. Complete the electronic withdrawal form as required
4. Click “Submit”

That’s the simple part, right? Well, those steps above are easy to follow but there are a few other details you need to be aware off, so you aren’t googling “how to withdraw money from eToro?”

Funds can only be withdrawn from your available balance, so before you make a withdrawal request, you should ensure that you have the amount available in your balance. This also includes the withdrawal fee ($5 unless you are a platinum or above eToro Club Tier member).

If you have funds invested in open positions, you can free up more funds by closing positions. Once a position is closed, the invested amount +/- any profit or loss will be sent back to your available balance.

Withdraw money from eToro checklist

Please note the following important points to withdraw money from your eToro account:

1. Your account needs to be verified, so get that done first.
2. The minimum amount to withdraw is $50.
3. The withdrawal fee is $5. (Unless you are a platinum or above eToro Club Tier member).
4. You will be notified via email once your withdrawal request has been processed by eToro.
5. As long as your withdrawal request is “Under Review”, you may cancel it via your Portfolio, by clicking on the blue History icon and then clicking the “Reverse” button on the request you wish to cancel.
6. The money will be deposited back to the account you used to fund your eToro account.

The last point is crucial. If you deposited money into your eToro account via an old credit card, then they’ll send it back to the credit card. Make sure you have everything lined up first before you start the withdrawal process.

If the original source is no longer valid/available, you’ll need to provide proof to eToro. So, If you can’t remember your deposit method with eToro, raise a ticket and ask.

How long to withdraw money from my eToro account?

An important thing to matter that it is not instant. There are not too many places at the moment that allows for same-day withdrawal processing, so it isn’t a bad thing.

All withdrawals may take up to 1 business day to be processed, provided eToro have received all the necessary documentation to process the withdrawal. However, please note that it may take 3-8 business days before the funds appear in your account. The time taken to receive your payment may vary depending on the payment provider involved, so there are a lot of factors to consider how long it will take to withdraw profits from your eToro account.

As I mentioned above, payments are usually processed using the original payment method. Therefore, if you requested a withdrawal with a different payment provider and it does not appear in your account, check the statement of your original payment method.

What is the minimum I can withdraw from eToro?

The minimum amount you can withdraw from your eToro account is $50.

Does eToro charge withdrawal fees?

Yes, all withdrawal requests are subject to a $5 fee.

Any withdrawals sent in currencies other than USD are subject to conversion fees. Details of our fees can be found here. Please note, you may be charged by the funding provider involved in the transfer (intermediary bank, receiving bank, or your credit card provider).

Those who belong to the eToro Club Tier Platinum or above are exempted from withdrawal fees.

What is the status of my withdrawal of funds from eToro?

You will be notified via email once the processing of your withdrawal request has been completed and informed to which payment provider your funds were sent.

Also, you can click on ‘Portfolio’ and then on the History tab to see the withdrawal status.

How can I cancel my withdrawal of money from eToro?

The status of your withdrawal needs to be “under review” to cancel the process. Therefore, to cancel your withdrawal request please follow the steps below: 

1. Enter your trading account and click on the “Withdraw Funds” tab
2. A pop-up message will appear, use the “click here” link to view your withdrawal history
3. Click on the “Reverse” button
4. Confirm that you wish to cancel the request
5. All funds, including withdrawal fees, will immediately be returned to your account balance

Please note that if your transaction status is “In Process” you will be unable to cancel via the platform.

What should I do if my funds do not appear in my account?

You have gone the whole process of withdrawing money from your eToro account and then… nothing… no money… You’ll ask yourself “I thought it was easy to withdraw money from eToro?” Well don’t fret, there are steps you can follow.

1. Click on the portfolio tab, then on the history tab, to see via which payment method your funds were sent. Alternatively, you can check the email you received about the processing of your withdrawal, which will specify the payment method to which the funds were sent and the date processed.
2. Take into consideration that from the time we process your withdrawal, it can take up to 8 business days for the funds to appear in your account statement.
3. If everything above was checked and you still cannot find the funds, please contact eToro via the Contact Us section and they’ll be able to help you out.
